어린이어깨동무 평화교육 심포지엄 ‘평화교육은 우리를 바꿀 수 있을까?’

남과 북의 어린이들은 평화로운 만남과 미래를 꿈꿀 수 있을까요?

어린이어깨동무 평화교육센터는 지난해에 이어 평화교육심포지엄을 개최합니다. 이번 행사는 우리와 같은 분단의 아픔과 갈등 상황을 극복하기 위해 노력하고 있는 북아일랜드의 평화교육 실천가, 각 계의 전문가들이 평화교육에 대한 깊이 있는 논의를 진행하게 됩니다.

다양한 평화교육의 방식을 통해 우리사회에 어떤 변화를 가져올 수 있는지 함께 나누는 자리가 될 것입니다. 많은 분들의 관심과 참여를 바랍니다.

The relations between North and South Korea are still frozen in 2017.

Will it be possible that children in two Koreas dream a peaceful future where they can meet together?

The Peace Education Center of Okedongmu Children in Korea(OKCK) holds Peace Education Symposium following last year.

Experts from various fields including peace education activists from Northern Ireland, which also suffers from the tragedy of national division and tries to overcome the conflict, will take part in the event and conduct in-depth discussions.

The symposium will become a venue where people share their thoughts on how can various peace educations make a difference in the society.

코리밀라 Corrymeela

신구교 대립이 격화된 1970년대 설립되어 피난처의 역할과 열린 공동체를 추구해온 북아일랜드의 평화교육기관이다. 코리밀라의 대표인 콜린 크렉은 지역 청소년 활동가로 시작해, 코리밀라 대표에 이르기까지, 지난 40여년간 유럽, 아프리카, 중동, 미국, 등지에서 평화 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 활동가를 훈련시켜 온 북아일랜드 출신 평화 교육 활동가이다. 

퍼펫우먼 Puppet Woman

2012년 북아일랜드에서 설립되었으며 인형극을 활용한 평화교육 프로그램 확산에 주력하고 있다. 이 단체 대표인 이본 네일러는 교사활동과 더불어 인형극을 활용한 평화교육 프로그램으로 세계적인 주목을 받아 왔다. 교사 은퇴 이후에도 코리밀라, 트리니티 칼리지 더블린 평화학 대학원, 북아일랜드 통합교육협의회 등에서 평화교육 관련 주요 직책을 맡아 왔다.
